Patella

Roberto Patella is an internationally known photographer based in Milan and New York City. He has been commissioned to photograph for magazines such as Esquire Italia, Vanity Fair, L’Uomo, and Vogue. Sixteen of his photographs are on display adjacent to the Reference Desk area of the library in an exhibit entitled "Finding Your Light" where Roberto explores photography from three different angles (human form, portraiture, and cultural expression) examining the relationship between himself, his subjects and their surroundings. Half of these images were taken in Italy, the homeland of Roberto’s parents and now the country where he currently calls home.

Sponsored by the Italian Department, Waidner-Spahr Library, the Central Pennsylvania Consortium, the Department of Art & Art History, the Office of Global Study and Engagement, the Office of LGBTQ Services, and the Center for Advising, Internships & Lifelong Career Development.
