The Black Student Union

The Black Student Union is a cultural, social, and political organization that recognizes diversity of thought and experiences within the African diaspora at large and within the community at Dickinson College. We exist culturally to unpack and learn about the various heritages of Black people. As a social organization, we organize activities aimed at encouraging dialogue, community, and understanding. Politically, we resist ALL forms of silencing. The Black Student is open to collaborate with other student organizations that hold these values. Whereas, all are invited and encouraged to participate in our general body meetings, The Black Student Union is an explicitly BLACK space. We privilege the voices and experiences of those identifying as Black.
