Weiss Prize in the Creative Arts

This year’s recipients are animator Diane Lee and composer Sam Phelps.

The Emil R. and Tamar Weiss Prize in the Creative Arts presentation will be held Saturday, April 13, 7pm Rubendall Recital Hall, Weiss Center for the Arts. This year’s recipients are animator Diane Lee and composer Sam Phelps. Ms. Lee will premiere The Funeral a story of childhood, loss and memory, and the impact of time and place on its protagonists. Mr. Phelps will premiere his original oratorio Great Awakening, the biblical story of the raising of Lazarus in a postmodern narrative setting.
