One of the benefits of an F-1 visa is eligibility to apply for post-completion OPT (Optional Practical Training), 12 months of authorized work in your field of study (major).
CGSE will be hosting an OPT Information Session:
Thursday, January 31st
12:00 PM-12:45 PM in Althouse 109
This session will provide an overview on the application process, timelines to understand, examples of past application mistakes, and time for Q & A. Early application is important if you are planning to work during the summer. OPT applications can take up to 90 days (or more) to process.
