November 8, 2018

Anna McGinn ’14 & Will Kochtitzky ’16 will hold an info session to discuss graduate programs at the Univ of Maine in the Climate Change Institute and the School of Int'l Affairs.

Anna McGinn ’14 and Will Kochtitzky ’16 will hold an information session in Biddle House on Thursday November 8, from 12-1 p.m., to discuss graduate programs at the University of Maine in the Climate Change Institute and the School of Policy and International Affairs. The Climate Change Institute (CCI) is one of the oldest climate research units in the United States and likely the first with a multi- and inter-disciplinary focus. CCI is a global leader in climate change research focused on physical, chemical, biological and socio-cultural components of the climate system of the past and present. The School of Policy and International Affairs (SPIA) Master of Arts in Global Policy program provides students with the analytical tools and professional skills necessary to deal with some of the most pressing global challenges. Students may choose a focus in development, environmental policy, climate change policy, security and foreign policy, or trade and commerce. Dickinson and SPIA have multiple linkage programs including a 4 plus 1 program (The SPIA-Dickinson 4 plus 1 is an integrated BA/MA program that allows Dickinson students to earn a SPIA master's within 15 months of receiving their bachelor's degree) and a Churchill-Richardson SPIA Fellowship only available to Dickinson graduates. Anna is currently pursuing dual master’s degrees with CCI and SPIA, and Will is pursuing a master’s degree in the School of Earth and Climate Science and is affiliated with CCI.
