In advance of their concert of early American music on Saturday, Nov. 3 (at 1 p.m. in Rubendall Hall), David and Ginger Hildebrand will present this audience interactive workshop, in which they will discuss 18th century music and dancing with reference to Cumberland County and the surrounding region. David and Ginger specialize in researching, recording, and performing early American music. Since 1980, they have presented concerts and education programs throughout the country for museums, historical societies, public schools, and universities. Mount Vernon, the Smithsonian Institution, the National Archives, Colonial Williamsburg, and the Styriarte Festival are among their past sponsors. The Cumberland County Historical Society is pleased to sponsor this event, in partnership with Dickinson's History Department, as part of their countdown to the 225th anniversary of the Whiskey Rebellion.
