Providing you insights using a collection of hands-on experiences.
Have you ever wondered what it must be like for a Dickinsonian who has dyslexia and has to do a ton of reading? Or questioned why a really smart classmate might need to take tests in another room with extended time? Some professors announce a need for a class notetaker to assist a student with a disability--why might they need someone else’s notes? This session will provide you insights using a collection of hands-on experiences that approximate some of the challenges that students with disabilities contend with in the classroom. Students with or without disabilities are welcome! Sponsored by the Office of Disability Services.
