Join us for a screening of the Peabody Award-winning film, The Rebellious Life of Mrs. Rosa Parks.
It tells the story of Rosa Parks’ radical politics and dedication to the Black freedom movement, as told through interviews, powerful archival footage and Parks’ own words. Historian Jeanne Theoharis, whose biography of Parks was the basis for the documentary, will join us for a Q&A following the screening.
Sponsored by the Departments of History, Africana Studies, and Women's, Gender & Sexuality Studies. Free and open to the public.
