You are invited to join Desiree Chang, Director of Education at the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission (PHRC) for a workshop about discrimination in Pennsylvania.
The PHRC’s Discrimination Protections in PA training provides a basic understanding of the anti-discrimination safeguards through the various laws at the Commonwealth level. Participants will become familiar with the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act (PHRA) and PA Fair Educational Opportunities Act (PFEOA) including the five (5) sectors that a person can file under as well as the protected classes. The workshop will provide examples of protected classes and discrimination that is seen within specific sectors. An overview of remedies available as well as additional courses of action is included in the discussion. Topics discussed include PHRA, PFEO, protected classes, jurisdiction, sectors of protection, anti-discrimination.
