Rush Hour: Economical Manufacture of Both Enantiomers of Non-Natural Amino Acids

November 14, 2024

"Economical Manufacture of Both Enantiomers of Non-Natural Amino Acids" presented by Dr. Todd Romoff, Oakwood Chemicals.

Non-natural amino acids offer chemical functionality beyond the twenty naturally occurring amino acids and are currently used for x-ray crystallography, biochemical methods, and pharmaceutical development. At Oakwood Chemical, new methods have been developed to reduce the cost of producing the stereoisomers of non-natural amino acids at an industrial scale. Dr. Romoff will also describe working in the chemical industry and his career path to Oakwood Chemicals in South Carolina.
