R.A.I.S.E. focuses on allowing faculty, staff, and students to engage more deeply and personally in issues related to LGBTQ identities and experiences.
During the training, we hope that participants will gain a better awareness of their own personal biases and learn how to be an effective ally to the LGBTQ community. Participants will become equipped with ways to be able to respond both actively and proactively in support of friends, family, and community members. This program asks participants to commit to ongoing and continuous education and learning. The training takes approximately one hour, and our office conducts follow-up action plan steps.
