Global Inclusion: Translating ‘DEI’ Where You Are

May 2, 2024

Note: Global Inclusion: Translating ‘DEI’ Where You Are is a session for current study abroad students.

Many of you are nearing the end of your study abroad experience, congratulations on having made it this far! We hope that you continue to have enriching experiences, gain new knowledge, and expand your worldviews.

Before departing on your trip, you may remember having participated in a pre-departure orientation where you broadly explored identity, intercultural competence, power privilege and positionality and growth and comfort zones. We’re writing today to invite you to a follow-up session, “Global Inclusion: Translating ‘DEI’ Where You Are.” In this session we will go further into depth on how identities are perceived and power and positionality, focusing on these paradigms from points of view outside of the US based on what you have all obser ved and lived while abroad.

The session will take place via Zoom on May 2nd, at 8 am EST time (14:00 hours Central European Time). Please register by April 30th via Engaged:  Global Inclusion: Translating ‘DEI’ Where You Are - EngageD (campuslabs.com)

Note: A zoom link will be sent out to participants the day before the workshop.

We are looking forward to seeing you at this session for what is sure to be a great conversation with interesting insig hts.
