Hosted by the Department of Theatre & Dance.

Inspired by the iconic, late-1970s installation by feminist artist Judy Chicago, The Dinner Party: A Dance Concert takes on choreographic works that speak to women's issues that are currently roiling the country.
In Chicago's piece, a large, triangular dining table is set with 39 place settings, each celebrating an important woman in history, with painted plates referencing female anatomy. In the Dance Theatre Group's The Dinner Party: A Dance Concert, each choreographic piece addresses issues around women's bodies, including autonomy, body image, rights and status in our contemporary moment.
Fueled by the work of guest-artist/choreographer Colleen Thomas from Barnard College, alongside Dickinson professors Erin Crawley Woods and Sarah Skaggs, our dinner party promises to be celebratory, strident and poetic.
