Interest or questions? Come to an info session to learn more. Faculty, staff and students of all class years are able to attend the info session. You may also contact Neil Leary or Lindsey Lyons for information about the program. Visit us at the Center for Sustainability Education to learn more- Kaufman 190. Rising juniors and seniors from all majors and all academic divisions are invited to apply for candidacy as a Baird Sustainability Fellow, a college-wide honors program. The Baird Sustainability Fellows program empowers students by building their skills as sustainability leaders and honors them for their achievements. This opportunity is open to poets and physicists, artists and anthropologists, philosophers and psychologists, historians and humanists, economists and environmental scientists – anyone who has engaged deeply in scholarship and action aimed at helping to create a sustainable world. Students accepted into the program participate in the Baird Honors Practicum, an interdisciplinary course in which high achieving students work with peers from diverse academic programs to enhance their leadership skills for creating a sustainable and equitable society, examine and evolve the values and beliefs that motivate their actions, and explore and prepare for career and other opportunities after Dickinson. Candidates who successfully complete the Practicum earn recognition as Baird Sustainability Fellows, an honor that is noted on the Fellows’ academic transcripts and in their Commencement program.
