The Emerging Leaders Retreat (ELR) is designed to support first-year and transfer students on their leadership journey at Dickinson. It supports the development of self-awareness, explores the meaning of leadership, and provides participants with a basic toolbox for succeeding as campus leaders. It is only a start on their journey but an important one. Mentors will have an opportunity to lead small group discussions, plan activities, work with faculty and staff, and serve as role models while learning practical leadership skills themselves. Due to the retreat's cancellation last year and the pandemic, this year we open participant applications for first-year, sophomores, and transfer students. Mentors usually are junior and senior students.
