Part of Local Roots, Sustainable Visions--a workshop series.
The Carlisle Tool Library is a volunteer-managed nonprofit organization with a unique goal: "empowering the community by making tools, shop space, and expertise available to everyone." Jeff Adams, president and co-founder, will lead this interactive workshop by giving a tour of the shop and discussing how it operates to make our community more sustainable. By getting to know the CTL, we will delve into the values of a sharing economy while learning about how to leverage local resources, knowledge, and relationships. There will be opportunities for questions and conversation throughout this workshop.
Welcome to Local Roots, Sustainable Visions--a workshop series featuring community facilitators who work at the nexus of civic engagement and sustainability! This series is being co-programmed by CSE and CCLA's Civic Skills Academy.
RSVPs are required so we can get a head-count and arrange transportation for those who want it. The Carlisle Tool Library is located at 735 Factory St., Carlisle (about a minute drive from campus). If you would like a ride, please let us know when you RSVP, and plan to meet us at 3:45pm in the Kaufman/DPS parking lot.
