Join Outing Club as we travel to Roundtop Mountain Resort for a fun night of skiing on February 25.
The resort is just south of Mechanicsburg and it will take us about 30-40 minutes to travel there each way. We will be leaving from behind Allison hall at 5 p.m. sharp to ensure we get to the resort and have enough time to ski before they close at 9 p.m. Please try to arrive at least 15 minute early so that we can load up our gear in the van and leave on time. We will return to campus by 10:30 PM.
In order to attend this trip you must pay $30 out of pocket to help pay for the lift tickets and rentals. Outing Club will cover the remaining costs. You must have also paid your dues ($10) and completed the club waiver form to attend. We will collect your payments at our general meeting the week of the trip.
We will be renting ski equipment at the resort for those who do not own their own skis. Below is a list of equipment you need to bring to attend the ski trip:
-Heavy winter jacket, preferably waterproof
-Snow pants (while not required, your legs will more than likely be wet, so bring a spare change of clothes)
-Gloves (preferably waterproof)
-Warm base layers
-Ski socks
-Winter hat
-Money for food
If you do not have waterproof ski clothing, layer up and wear a rain jacket if you have it. Otherwise bring a spare change of warm clothes.
We want to reiterate that RSVP'ing for this trip is a commitment to show up. If you later realize you are unable to attend the trip, please respond "no" via the event page so that those on the waitlist may attend. This trip is going to be a lot of fun and we thank you for your understanding.
