Critical Conversations Series - First Amendment: A Conversation Around Civil Discourse and the Academy

The Critical Conversations Series aims to elevate the topics on campus and in our society which needs space for discourse, analysis, and discussion.

Drawing upon the current trends and conversations occurring globally and locally, each topic and event is only the next step in advancing causes, building trust, and elevating needs. The Critical Conversations series also seeks to be a resource in times of potential crisis and concern on campus, mobilizing after serious incidents and when the needs to gather are critical to resolving or disarming situations which have occurred.

This Critical Conversation: First Amendment: A Conversation around civil discourse and the Academy with Kendall Isaac

One of the most perplexing issues in academia and, indeed, in society itself is free speech and how it interplays with policies and laws against discriminatory speech. The Office of General Counsel will discuss this murky and highly controversial topic.
