Event Overview: Marginalized communities across Pennsylvanian are disproportionately exposed to environmental hazards and have historically been excluded from or underrepresented in environmental justice activities. Environmental justice means that all are included in the development, implementation, and enforcement of environmental regulations, laws, and policies. EJ in PA aims to educate and empower residents regarding environmental justice issues throughout Pennsylvania. The goals for the event are to encourage conversation and create connection among community members to identify actions and outcomes that will be supported through resources and networking after the event through a group of EJ community hubs.
