Moscow: From Soviet City to the Global “Smart” One Moscow has recently been recognized as one of the top 10 global smart cities. We will trace how, together with the changes in the urban space, the impact of technology increases in Muscovites’ everyday lives and businesses. Throughout almost the entire history of Russia, Moscow has been the largest city in the country, its political, economic and cultural center. For almost 900 years of its existence, the capital has often changed and been rebuilt. Moscow's growth continued during Soviet times, and also in the Putin era. In recent years, Moscow has been marked by a real boom in the construction of social facilities with digital infrastructure and the public transportation system has gone through a number of cardinal changes, including digital excess. The Renovation Program is designed to improve the living conditions of thousands of Muscovites and also to create a new look for many Moscow districts. Registration deadline: April 6.
