Argentinean History, Immigration, Tango and Lunfardo We’ll discuss a short history of the creation of Argentina State, politics and the ideas of the first generation, and the impact of the immigration waves on Argentine society. We’ll also cover the histories and importance of the tango and Lunfardo. We will listen to some tango songs and analyze the lyrics, and we will work with some Lunfardo words to analyze their origins and usage. * Knowledge of Spanish is essential for this class.
