Iceland is called the "land of fire and ice," and Dickinson has had a long association with this dynamic island through student field trips, student-faculty research and Alumni Global Adventures.
From active volcanoes, including the 2010 Eyjafjallajökull eruption, to the northern lights, Dickinson has deep ties to this small Arctic nation. Professor Edwards’ presentation will share some of the beauty of Iceland through the lens of Dickinson experiences there, highlighting past and future trips as well as sharing intriguing results from research completed there by Dickinsonians.
