Diplomacy Night

December 7, 2019

Hosted by Dickinson College Model United Nations.

Diplomacy was released in the 50s and has remained a classic ever since. Multiple U.S. presidents and senior foreign relations officials have been known to play it over the years. It is similar to Risk except there is no random element and turns happen simultaneously for all nations. Players must negotiate, plan strategically, and write orders to either win or sign a peace deal in a battle for pre-WWI Europe. Countries will be assigned randomly. Players should plan to arrive at 6:00 p.m. to get dinner orders and go over rules if you are new to the game. Keep in mind a game of diplomacy can go on for 4-7 hours depending on a variety of factors. Rules can be found here for those interested: https://www.wizards.com/avalonhill/rules/diplomacy.pdf. Dinner will be provided.
