Diplomacy Night

November 9, 2019

Hosted by Dickinson College Model United Nations

Diplomacy was released in the '50s and has remained a classic ever since. Multiple US presidents and senior foreign relations officials have been known to play it over the years. It is similar to Risk except there is no random element and turns happen simultaneously for all nations. Players must negotiate, plan strategically, and write orders to either win or sign a peace deal in a battle for pre-WWI Europe. Countries will be assigned randomly and the game will begin at 7:00 PM, although if you are new to the game we advise you arrive earlier to become familiar with how it will be run. Keep in mind a game of diplomacy can go on for 4-7 hours depending on a variety of factors. Rules can be found here for those interested: https://www.wizards.com/avalonhill/rules/diplomacy.pdf. There will be snacks and drinks provided.
