Security Council Decolonization Sim

November 16, 2019

Dickinson College Model United Nations

In this simulation of the original 11 member UN Security Council, delegates will be presented with a variety of crises stemming from decolonization efforts in the years following the end of WWII. The format will be similar to that of a General Assembly, except that the security council has additional power afforded to them. Delegates will be tasked with creating and voting on resolutions to address events as they appear while representing the interests of their state. Background research on your country's position is highly encouraged. Specific details will be forthcoming for each nation, and bagels, pastries, and coffee will be provided.
