The Department of Public Safety (DPS) is a full-service campus-police department serving students, staff, faculty and guests of the college. DPS is a unit of the Division of Student Development. The department operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The department includes a department chief, lieutenants, law-enforcement officers, civilian communication officers, an administrative assistant, a transportation coordinator and one corporal. Additional communication officers and non-sworn special officers assist with crowd control and traffic direction at large events.
