Ritual objects shed light on West African society

The Trout Gallery at Dickinson will host an opening reception for the exhibition “Mafilè Fèn: Bamana Dance and Art.” The reception is Friday, Sept. 2, from 5–7 p.m.

“Mafilè Fèn” considers the role of dance, performance, masks and ritual objects within the society of the Bamana people of Sub-Saharan West Africa.
