Students discuss climate change with White House and U.N. Officials in D.C.

Video by Joe O'Neill

A group of students from Dickinson's Global Climate Change Mosaic recently headed to Washington, D.C., where they met with officials from the United Nations and representatives from the White House, to discuss climate change governance. The officials are regularly involved with climate science and negotiations, and students were on hand to absorb, discuss and bring back lessons from the front lines of the climate change debate.

“Why Dickinson’s focus on sustainability is so encouraging is it really is about stimulating the kinds of changes we’re going to need at every level of society to deal with climate change,” said Jacob Scherr, senior advisor at the Natural Resources Defense Council.
