DIG summer camp offers hands-on sustainability lessons

Dickinson's Discover, Inquire, Grow (DIG) summer camp offered local children hands-on lessons on renewable energy, stream health and sustainable agriculture this week. Held at the College Farm June 16-20, the camp featured an educational program designed to foster a love of the outdoors, a sense of place, skills in nature-writing and crafts, and practical experience in farming and science exploration for children entering grades four through six.

DIG was sponsored by the Dickinson College Farm, Dickinson’s Center for Sustainability Education and the Alliance for Aquatic Resource Monitoring (ALLARM)
