Student Interviewers

Brian Reid ’17

My Dickinson experience has been invaluable to me over the past three years, and it continues to evolve every day. I came to Dickinson because of the sense I got from the student body during my two visits to campus. In addition to witnessing various academic departments in action during my stays, I got the chance to interact with a diverse group of students. I gained insight into what drives, motivates, and defines the Dickinson community. What I found was that Dickinson students are a family of intellects who are aware of the world around them and strive to be a global force of change.

At Dickinson, I am afforded the opportunity to deeply pursue any number of academic topics or extracurricular activities. I’m grateful to attend an institution where I can further my education on multiple fronts by double majoring in math and music. Not only that, Dickinson allows me to serve my country as an ROTC cadet on my way to becoming a lieutenant in the United States Army. Furthermore, I am able to actively engage in all that campus has to offer as a student athlete on the Dickinson swim team and music director of The Octals. These experiences in and out of the classroom culminate to shape me into the person and professional that I am today, and will continue to be when I transition into life beyond the limestone.

Dickinson truly is my home, and I would be happy to answer any questions you might have! You can reach me at reidb@dickinson.edu.
