Come back to campus to spend the day helping today’s students find their paths outside of the limestone walls. Strengthen Dickinson’s career network by meeting students and alumni in a wide variety of fields, attending professional development sessions, and learning about new career counseling opportunities for alumni during our annual Career Conference and Networking Day.

8:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
HUB Social Hall Lobby

Networking Luncheon

Kick off the day with alumni, parents and students during this networking lunch. Hear from our keynote speaker and share your career path and advice with current students.

How to Perform ‘Deep Work’ Each and Every Day

Steve Riccio will discuss work-life balance and introduce participants to Cal Newport’s “Deep Work” scheduling model – a model meant to address the problem, as  Newport describes it, of spending too much of time on “autopilot” and allowing distractions to undermine deep work.  The goal of this discussion is for you to create your own scheduling model that will yield greater efficiency and work/life balance.

Strengthening Our Dickinson Career Network

Meet Annie Kondas, the new Associate Director of Alumni Career Services and Externships, to discuss services available to alumni and how alumni can greatly impact today’s student career program.

State of the College, State of Career

Interim President Neil Weissman and Phil Jones, Dean of Career Development, Assistant Vice President for Student Life, will provide a state of the college and state of career services at Dickinson.
