Our Mission

Corporate & Foundation Relations

We seek and secure funding from foundation and corporate sources to support institutional priorities. Priorities are set by the President and the Dean of the College in conjunction with trustee and faculty input, following the college's strategic plan. Such priorities include (but are not limited to):

  1. securing funds for capital projects
  2. expanding and establishing new endowments
  3. raising funds for purchases of equipment
  4. securing funds for curriculum and program development
  5. building new relationships with foundation and corporate entities

Sponsored Projects

We assist faculty in the acquisition of external funding for research, sabbaticals and curriculum development. We serve as liaison between faculty and numerous governmental funding entities such as the National Science Foundation (NSF), the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and others. We offer many types of pre-award assistance:

  1. developing proposal concepts
  2. searching for funding resources
  3. assisting with all phases of proposal preparation including creation of budgets, editing and proofreading, copying, distributing
  4. ensuring compliance with regulations on federal and other grants
  5. submitting proposals via various electronic systems
  6. assisting with routine and final reporting

Post-award financial and administrative management of grant awards is handled by the Office of Financial Operations.
