Eat, science, love: What can psychology teach us about eating disorders? Presented by Prof. Suman Ambwani, Psychology

In this presentation, Suman Ambwani discusses her research on disordered eating behaviors, social-interpersonal functioning, and technology-based interventions for anorexia nervosa. How do women with anorexia nervosa perceive the social behavior of others? What is the nature of “fat talk” and how do college women perceive those who challenge these unhealthy (but typical) conversations? How can “recovery videos” and guided self-help offer support to people with eating disorders? Join us for this talk and enjoy interdisciplinary pizza!
