Adapting to Challenging Times

Dickinson will host a virtual discussion with a panel of local business owners about how they are responding to the closure of non-essential organizations during the COVID-19 pandemic. The livestream event, “Adapting to Challenging Times: Local Small Businesses Navigate the Coronavirus Response,” will take place Wednesday, April 15, at 7 p.m. The link to view the event will be available online on the Clarke Forum website at 6:50 that evening. Members of the public are invited to watch the discussion and submit questions for panelists in the comments section of the YouTube live stream.

It has been nearly a month since so-called non-essential businesses, including restaurants, gyms, stores, hair salons and many others were ordered to close by Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf. Representatives from local businesses will discuss how they are coping with this order and how they are responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Panelists include Ross Garner of general contracting firm Creative Building Concepts, Tanis Monroy of Destination Carlisle and Kirk Ream of Transformation Training and Fitness.

The event is sponsored by the Clarke Forum for Contemporary Issues.
