A recipient of a 2011 Delaware Individual Artist Fellowship in Sculpture, Ellen Durkan creates fantastical fashion pieces out of metal, steel and other nontraditional materials by hand-sawing patterns into metal and using blacksmithing tools to affix clasps and other parts to the surfaces.
