Through the Burgess Institute for the Global Economy, students will have access to many perks, including a leg up in launching a career through distinctive programs and services.

Finance & Business Career Network

The network marks a new approach in Dickinson’s career services aimed at strengthening internship opportunities as well as career advice by focusing on finance and business and building networking opportunities and pathways. The network also provides a valuable resource to current students, who can work with these alumni to find internships and explore these fields.

Winter Break Career Pathways

These 5-6 week winter break sessions offer Dickinson students a chance to engage in career exploration and development and gain employment skills. Students can use their winter break session to engage in one of the following areas of interest:

  • Finance
  • Consulting
  • Marketing & communications
  • Data & technology

Career Communities

Through Handshake, you’ll choose which Career Communities you would like to explore and join. Each community is based around industries and offers unique content, such as:

  • Advice from a career pathway advisor specialized in certain industries
  • Industry information and resources
  • Connections with alumni networks
  • Information about internship and full-time job opportunities
