Leadership Recognition Ceremony
The Office of Campus Life sponsors the annual Leadership Recognition Ceremony at the conclusion of the spring semester to recognize students, staff, faculty, clubs & organizations for various leadership achievements. Awards presented at the ceremony are by the request of campus offices and departments, and are centered around Dickinson's model of leadership. The nomination & selection process and timeline for awards will vary by department. You may nominate an individual, group, or program by completing nominations forms for eligble awards.
For the 2025-2026 academic year, the following awards & awardess were recognized:
Student Leader of the Year
This is given to the individual student that has made significant accomplishments as an identified leader on campus during the current academic year. For this award's purposes, leadership is measured by affecting positive change on campus and the Dickinson community, rooted in the goals and mission of the college.
2026 recipient is Cannon Daverin '26
Executive Board Member of the Year
This award is given to a member of the executive team of a student organization or group. Nominees for this award have high attention to detail, have made significant strides in enhancing group credibility, and promote accountability within and outside of their organization to uphold their group’s mission, vision, and values.
2026 recipient is Zoey Bochicchio '27
Student Group of the Year
The Student Group of the Year award seeks to recognize a group of students that has most thoroughly fulfilled its stated mission and goals, collaborated with other organizations and departments to improve life on campus, hosted quality programs, provided a positive influence on its members and the campus community, and placed emphasis within their organization on fiscal responsibility.
2026 recipient is Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated
Student Program of the Year
The Student Program of the Year award acknowledges a program initiated, created, and run by students that had a positive impact on the Dickinson College community. Whether inherently social or educational in nature, the winning program shall enhance the ideals of the college in one or more of the following areas: diversity, communication, global sensibility, sustainability, search for the truth & accountability, and living in community.
2026 recipient is the MOB All-College Formal
Advisor of the Year
The Advisor of the Year Award recognizes a staff or faculty member who uses their expertise, experience, and time to help guide a student organization to be successful while maintaining the group’s mission and vision.
2026 recipient is the Charles A. Dana Professor of Theatre, Karen Kirkham
The Building Block Award
The Building Block Award was created to recognize a student who has made significant steps in the development of their academics or leadership opportunities from the previous academic year. Consideration for recognition is based on the following criteria, a current sophomore, junior, or senior at Dickinson College, someone who demonstrates growth in the areas of academics, student leadership, or both, and has shown great improvement in balancing academics and student involvement.
2026 recipient is Caroline Kearns '28
Campus Spirit Award
This award is presented to a New Student Guide who consistently promotes pride in Dickinson and inspires others to get involved.
2026 recipient is Bridget McHugh '28
Most Engaged Group of the Year
This award recognizes the New Student Guide whose group demonstrated the highest participation and strongest sense of community.
2026 recipient is Benjamin Cook '28
Behind the Scenes Award
This award honors a quiet leader—someone who may not always be in the spotlight, but whose impact is deeply felt through their consistency, care, and support of others.
2026 recipient is Maggie Conklin '27
Community Builder Award
Given to a New Student Guide who fosters belonging and meaningful connection within their group and across the first-year class.
2026 recipient is Annelyse Warner '26
New Student Guide of the Year
This honor is given to a guide who consistently exceeds expectations through outstanding leadership, reliability, and unwavering support for their students.
2026 recipient is Jenna Speer '26
Student Senate Administrator Award
The Student Senate Administrator Award is given to a member of the administration who contribute the most time and energy towards student initiatives that directly benefit the student body. The individual made significant efforts to work with the student body, tackling issues that directly affect students. They also mentor students, bettering student leadership and encouraging them to become campus leaders.
2026 recipient is Student Senate Bookkeeper, Lynn Stine
Student Senate Faculty of the Year
The Student Senate Faculty of the Year demonstrates genuine interest in the development of their students. This faculty member should actively participate in student organizations and should incorporate academic elements into students' extracurricular activities. In addition, this faculty member should show respect to students and their concerns. This faculty member has shown dedicated interest in student issues and life on campus and has helped students in addressing these issues.
2026 recipient is Associate Professor of French and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, Mireille Rebeiz
Student Senate Senator of the Year
The Student Senator of the Year award is given to the Senator who has served the student body by going beyond their Senate duties, serving as an example of leadership, integrity and responsibility for the rest of the Student Senate. This individual has displayed leadership within the Senate and within their committee through individual responsibilities and/or projects. They lead with integrity and foster a positive image of Senate to the student body. They bear responsibilities within the Senate and contribute valuable input to conversations. In addition, this Senator fosters a collective learning environment where decision-making is executed responsibly. This senator must have served on Senate for at least two semesters and may only receive the award once.
2026 recipient is Fariya Bushra '28
All-College Committee Senator Award
The All-College Committee Senator award is given to an All-College Committee Senator who has served the student body by going above and beyond their assigned duties, serving as an example of leadership, professionalism, and outstanding achievement. They work to further policy to best fit student and college needs. They positively represent students in their interactions with their committee.
2026 recipient is Andrew Conte '28
New Senator of the Year
This award is given to a new Senator in their first year of service to Senate. This individual demonstrates a clear understanding of Senate's role on campus. The Senator serves as a role model for other Senators by actively participating in discussion and debate during Senate and committee meetings and actively pursuing projects and initiatives. This Senator exhibits integrity, active engagement and leadership. To be eligible for this award, the Senator must meet or exceed all constitutional requirements of Senators and served on Senate for at least one semester.
2026 recipient is Ruby Farley '29
The Fraternity & Sorority Life Impact Award
This award is given to the individual Greek student who has made a significant impact as an identified leader in their chapter, campus, and community during the current academic year. For the purposes of this award, leadership is measured by affecting positive change in their chapter, campus, and community.
2026 recipient is Cameron Morales '27
The Red Devil Ambassador Award
The Red Devil Ambassador Award recognizes student-athletes at Dickinson College who exemplify team contribution while also significant contributions to the Dickinson community. This award celebrates individuals who embody the spirit of the Red Devils through leadership, service, and dedication both on and off the field. These awardees are current student-athletes in excellent academic standing at Dickinson College, they demonstrate commitment and teamwork in their respective sport, actively participate in a Dickinson campus groups and/or a community service-related activities that champions Dickinson College’s values, and exhibit strong leadership qualities and sportsmanship.
2026 recipients are Mac Childs '26 and Jane Lloyd '26
The Sustainability Award
The Sustainability Award seeks to recognize an individual (student) or group of individuals whose initiatives demonstrated significant contribution towards advancing sustainability on Dickinson College's campus. This individual or group strives to educate the campus community on the interrelationship among environmental, social and economic issues as well as contributes proactively to the positive changes on campus and in the greater community.
Applicants will be reviewed based on 1) demonstrated leadership, 2) scale of impact, 3) measurable results and 4) creativity and innovation.

The Carmen Neuberger Award
Endowed by the former Dean of Educational Services, Carmen Neuberger, the prize is awarded to the graduating senior who, while fulfilling an important leadership role and maintaining an outstanding academic record, has contributed greatly to the college through the performing arts and to the Carlisle community through volunteer service.
2026 recipient is Madalyn Fecko '26
Excellence in the Advancement of Diversity and Social Justice Award
This award recognizes an individual student or group of students whose single action or repeated behaviors have moved the College forward in its commitment to building a pluralistic, inclusive, and just community. The recipient(s) is one who has tackled issues of injustice and systems of privilege, contributed to finding solutions to challenges as they relate to diversity, equity, and social justice, and who has used their leadership and connections with others to generate meaningful and informed action.
2026 recipient is Alyssa Santiago '26
Joyce A. Bylander Excellence in Diversity Education
This award recognizes a Dickinson College faculty, staff, or administrator whose work and service in and/or outside of the classroom represent innovation in education around issues of diversity, equity, and social justice. The recipient of the award is a strong and active advocate for equity, inclusive education, and diverse communities. This individual equips students with the knowledge, awareness, and skills to effectively gain self-knowledge, engage with challenging topics, and responsibly promote equity and inclusion in diverse environments.
2026 recipient is Assistant Director for Academic Advising, Erik Sutherland
MACUHO Student Leadership Award
The MACUHO Student Leadership Award is given to an undergraduate student working as a student staff member in their
institution’s Housing/Residential Life Office who demonstrates excellence at building community, engaging with departmental initiatives, exhibits care and empathy toward all students and staff, and promotes an inclusive community.
There is one annual recipient chosen at each institution, and this winner is selected by the department’s professional staff for exhibiting all the qualities mentioned above.
2026 recipient is Jordyn Moscowitz '26
The M. Charles Seller Award
The M. Charles Seller Award is given annually to a Residence Life Student Staff member showing outstanding ability as a campus leader, role model, and mentor. This person must be a responsible and committed student, a visible and caring leader, as well as a team player.
2026 recipient is Hailey Kiser '26
Rush Citizen of the Year
This award seeks to recognize one individual for outstanding service to the residential community. The ideal recipient of this award enacts Benjamin Rush's vision of engaged citizenship, including leadership, self-governance and peer accountability. Therefore, this individual is respectful of all members of the community and/or has positively contributed to the community. Most importantly, this individual should be a leader and role model amongst peers and consistently served their community to enact positive changes within it.
2026 recipient is Zoey Bochicchio '27
1902 Award
Endowed by the Class of 1902, the 1902 award is given annually to the junior student who, in the estimation of their peers, has contributed the most to the good of the college.
2026 recipient is Valerie Larsen '27
Amy Snow Prize
Endowed by the family and friends of Amy Snow, class of 1993, this prize is awarded annually to a rising junior or senior who has a zest for life and learning, a strong commitment to Dickinson and the community, and a demonstrated belief in the goodness of all people.
2026 recipient is Luca Lorance '27
The Unsung Hero Award
The Unsung Hero award recognizes a student, staff, or faculty member who works behind-the-scenes of a successful group or project. The recipient is someone who consistently gives their all to group achievement by going above and beyond the call of duty. Careful consideration is given to how the individual demonstrates a passion, positive influence, and strong commitment to a project or group.
