Learning

Sustainability is being infused into arts and humanities, social science and physical science courses, offering students opportunities to explore meanings of and approaches to sustainability from varied perspectives.

More than half the student body enrolls in at least one sustainability course each year. By the time students of recent graduating classes completed their four-year degrees, over 90 percent of took one or more sustainability courses, and nearly 50 percent took four or more. Beginning with the class of 2019, completion of a sustainability course is now a graduation requirement and part of every Dickinson student’s education.
