Search Programs by Majors

We encourage you to search for study abroad programs by your major. Please keep in mind that all courses taken off campus for your major or distribution requirements must be approved by your department or the appropriate faculty member.

How to Use this Tool

The Program Search by Major tool is designed to help you explore study abroad programs through the lens of your academic goals. This resource highlights programs that are either designed for specific majors (and may require you to be a declared major or minor to participate) or regularly offer courses that can fulfill major or minor requirements.

This list is not exhaustive and should be viewed as a starting point, especially if you are unsure where you want to study and would like to begin narrowing your options based on your academic plan. If you have already made significant progress toward your major requirements, you may find that your study abroad options are more flexible. If you still need to complete several major or minor requirements, it’s especially important to consider program fit carefully.

If you need to take a specific course while abroad to fulfill a major requirement, you should discuss your plans in detail with both the CGSE and your academic advisor(s) early in the process. While programs may offer courses that typically fulfill requirements, specific courses cannot always be guaranteed and often vary by term.

If you don’t see a program listed under your major or you have questions, we encourage you to schedule a meeting with an advisor through the Global Advising page.
