Integrated Sustainability

Sustainability training.

Peter Sak, assistant professor of geology, and Carol Loeffler, associate professor of biology, collaborated to create this presentation.

Sustainability issues affect all aspects of society, including business, education, science, politics, law and the arts. This means that all of today's students can expect to address these issues at some point in their professional and personal lives. And so Dickinson faculty members are developing new ways to weave sustainability issues into the curriculum.

The Valley & Ridge summer-study group helps them do just that.

The group is open to all Dickinson faculty members interested in exploring how to incorporate sustainability issues into new courses or modules. Teaching methods include place-based study, experiential learning and multidisciplinary team teaching.
