Looking Forward to Graduation

Madelaine Kaliff '18, Priceline.com

Major:

Policy management.

Internship title:

Advertising intern.

How I got this internship:

I got this internship by networking with family/personal connection.

What I do, day to day:

I work with the ad sales and support teams on reporting, creative uploads and tracking, client requests and changes to media kits and other internal documents that present the ad options

Other internships:

I had an internship last summer at WonderWork, a nonprofit. I do not plan on interning again and hope to find a full time position once I graduate.

Most valuable part of this experience:

I think the most valuable part of my internship is the exposure to different levels of employment and different job options within the advertising industry.

Advice for students considering internships:

I would say asking as many questions as possible is the most important takeaway I have had from internships because you get the most out of your experience and understand what is going on.

How this internship has helped me:

I believe this internship has taught me better communication skills because of my experiences both participating in and watching a corporate team function.

Post-Dickinson plans:

My plan after graduation is to find a job in the advertising industry.
