Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst

Deutsher Akademischer Austauschdienst

The Deutsher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD), or the German Academic Exchange Service, is a private, publicly funded, self-governing organization of higher education institutions in Germany. The DAAD promotes international academic relations and cooperation and offers undergraduate students a variety of support for study and research in Germany at all levels of the undergraduate program. Students can apply for fellowships for study abroad, for professional internships, for language courses, and for postgraduate research.

Dickinsonians have won scholarships to fund study abroad, to pursue summer research in science, and to undertake a professional internship after graduation.

Deadlines for the various scholarships and fellowships vary. For more information about deadlines and funding, please check the DAAD website for up-to-date information or contact Professor Sarah McGaughey.
