Events

Literacy Alive! is a fun event in which Dickinson’s KDP visits a local elementary school and hosts a series of fun, literacy activities. We usually read a popular children’s book and the elementary students rotate through games and crafts that relate to the story. It provides Dickinson students the opportunity to engage with the local Carlisle community and to encourage reading and creativity. Most recently, KDP partnered with the third grade students at Hamilton Elementary School to offer this Literacy Alive event, which was a success and enjoyed by all.
