Everyone in Dickinson is welcome.
People will be divided into several groups to build up towers with the pocky provided. Groups will compete with each other to make the highest tower. After the competition, people will eat up all the pocky in the towers. The winner will be awarded. People are also welcomed to take back some pocky and share with their friends to celebrate the Pocky Day! Purpose of this Collaboration: The Pocky Day is a popular Japanese tradition. The common way to celebrate this day, building up pocky towers, also contains the science of architecture. We want to provide a chance for people to experience the modern culture, apply their physics knowledge in group work and have a good time with the Dickinsonians at the same time. The collaboration between Japanese Aesthetics Club and Physics Club can be helpful to broadcast this event to people interested in culture and science, and be able to present this event from the two different perspectives.
