Third-Party Recruiters

Whenever possible, Dickinson College prefers to work directly with company representatives/employees from employers looking to recruit and engage with Dickinson College students. However, the Center for Career Development also understands that certain industries, such as data and science, rely upon such recruiters to aid and facilitate their growth strategies. The Center for Career Development is happy to accommodate and work with such third-party entities when necessary. However, Dickinson College also reserves the right to refuse to work with any third-party entities who do not align with the college’s initiatives and values.

Multilevel Marketing Companies

Dickinson College does not permit MLM companies to recruit on campus or to share job or internship postings for Dickinson students on Handshake. Any postings from an MLM company shared on Handshake will not be approved or promoted to students.

Non-Discrimination

Dickinson College adheres to a strict non-discrimination policy and it does not support or accommodate any entities that discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, religion, age, veteran status, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation or any other protected class. Neither does Dickinson College tolerate any harassment of individuals based on such characteristics.

Individuals who have experienced gender- or sex-based discrimination or harassment can find assistance and support through the Title IX @ Sexual Respect Office.

Students who have experienced harassment or discrimination in an internship or job placement or other experiential learning opportunity may also reach out to the Center for Career Development for support and guidance by emailing career@dickinson.edu.

Cannabis Industry

Dickinson College follows all federal and state laws related to marijuana and therefore does not host recruiters from the cannabis industry on campus or approve Handshake posts related to the cannabis industry.
