Employer partners can share job and internship opportunities with students at Dickinson College by posting positions through Handshake, the College’s centralized recruiting platform.
Step 1: Create or Log In to Your Handshake Account
Visit Handshake and either create an employer account or log in to your existing profile. If creating a new account, be sure to complete all required fields and request connection approval for your organization.
Step 2: Build or Update Your Company Profile
Before posting, ensure your company profile is complete and polished. Include a company description, logo, website link, industry information, and contact details. A strong profile increases student engagement and applicant quality.
Step 3: Post a Job or Internship
From your dashboard, click “Post a Job.” Enter all relevant details, including:

Employment type (internship, full-time, part-time, etc.)

Location (in-person, hybrid, or remote)

Compensation details (if applicable)

Preferred class year(s)

Qualifications and required skills

Step 4: Select Dickinson College
When prompted to choose schools, select Dickinson College to ensure the position is routed for review by the Center for Career Development.
Step 5: Submit for Review
Once submitted, the Dickinson College Center for Career Development will review the posting to ensure it aligns with institutional policies and recruiting guidelines. After approval, the opportunity will be visible to Dickinson students.
Step 6: Manage Applicants and Engagement
Employers can use Handshake to track applicants, download résumés, message candidates directly, schedule interviews, and register for additional recruiting events such as career fairs or information sessions.
By leveraging Handshake, employer partners can efficiently reach qualified Dickinson students while streamlining their recruiting process through a trusted, campus-supported platform. Handshake also has a library of resources for employers to most effectively utilize the platform and to troubleshoot any issues they may have.
