William Randolph Hearst Endowed Fellowship for Minority Students

The William Randolph Hearst Endowed Fellowship is offered three times annually by the Aspen Institute Program on Philanthropy and Social Innovation (PSI) in Washington, D.C. The fellowship is open to both undergraduate and graduate students of color and is based on academic excellence and need. Fellows serve as interns with PSI and are introduced to issues and challenges affecting philanthropy, social enterprise, nonprofit organizations, and other areas in the social sector.

The Fall and Spring interns work part-time and receive a stipend of approximately $2,000. Meanwhile, the Summer intern works full-time and receives a $4,000 stipend. During their internships, fellows undertake research, writing, logistical, and administrative support for PSI’s leadership initiatives, public programs, and convenings.
