Club & Event Resources

Club Resources

We offer many services and programs to clubs and organizations at Dickinson College.

Club Questions Form

If you have questions about your club, you can always ask the club’s advisor listed on EngageD or refer to Campus Life’s Club Resources webpage. If your advisor is not entirely confident about the answer and cannot find it online, you can always submit your question to Dean Marker, Assistant Director of Campus Life.

Activities Fair

The Activities Fair allows students to explore and connect with over 140 student organizations on campus. The next Activities Fair will be on Monday, January 29.  Student organizations must sign up as part of the re-registration process.

Events with Alcohol

All information concerning Dickinson's Events with Alcohol Policy can be found here.

Club Training

Each year, the event student group president and treasurer are required to attend or complete club training. The training covers club officer responsibilities, event planning, organizational management, and relevant campus policies.

All student group presidents and treasurers (or equivalent titles) must complete club training by attending.

  • In-Person: The live training (RSVP required) was from 10:30 am-12:00 pm on Thursday, September 1st, in Althouse 106. Space was limited, so attendees had to RSVP on EngageD.
  • Online: The recording became available on Friday, September 2nd, for students to complete.

If either officer for a group fails to complete the training by 8:30 am on Monday, February 6th., then that group's EngageD will be frozen. Frozen groups are unable to reserve space, hold events, or access funds.

Corkboard Lottery

There are corkboards available to student groups in the HUB Lower Level. Groups interested in having a corkboard should sign up via the HUB Corkboard Lottery form on SLCE’s EngageD by 12:00 pm EDT on Friday, September 2nd.

EngageD

EngageD is Dickinson’s student engagement platform, where you can explore what student groups exist, what events are happening, and other relevant resources. Club officers should be familiar with EngageD and Campus Life has added helpful How-To Guides to the Dickinson Knowledge Base. Please note that a Dickinson username and password are required to view the Knowledge Base and some features of EngageD.

Corq by Campus Labs

Corq by Campus Labs is the public-facing mobile app for EngageD and is available in the App Store. With it, you can view upcoming events, explore what events are happening nearby, filter them for free food or stuff, and discover clubs on campus.

Club Re-Registration

To ensure that club and contact information is current, all student groups must re-register on EngageD before 12:00 pm EST on Friday, January 27th, 2023

Student groups that fail to register will not receive a space at the Activities Fair or a Mini-Engagement Fair and will have their EngageD page status changed to frozen. Frozen groups cannot host events, reserve space, or access funding until the issue is resolved. Submit your question via the Club Questions form on EngageD to receive more information about the specific requirements you need to complete. Once those are resolved, your group will be unfrozen.

Instructions on how to re-register your group can be found here

Publicity Supplies

The College offers supplies to student groups to help advertise their events. A Cricut machine, a die-cut machine for making large letters for bulletin boards, and bulletin board paper are among the items that are available. To use any of these supplies, please stop by the Campus Life Office on the lower level of the HUB, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The Student Senate also makes a copy machine available for use by student groups through the Senate Copy Fund. The copy machine is in the Club Resource Room on the lower level of the HUB.

Student Group Manual

The Student Group Manual is updated every summer as policies and contact information change. This resource will give student leaders the knowledge they need to administer an organization at Dickinson, from event planning procedures with CASE and Dining Services to information on EngageD.

Event Planning Worksheet

Students can use a useful, printable Event Planning Worksheet to map out event ideas.

the bulletin board

This newsletter, published each semester, keeps club officers and advisors up-to-date with relevant information. The fall 2022 issue of the bulletin board can be found here, while the winter 2023 issue is here, and issues from previous semesters can be found here.

Club Roster Submissions

Ensuring your membership roster is accurate will ensure that your club members can see the content you want them to see when they log into EngageD! Rosters must be submitted using the Club Roster Submissions form found on EngageD by 8:30 am on Monday, February 20th.

Religious Community Calendar

To help build an inclusive and aware community, Dickinson College has designated, with two asterisks, specific religious holidays for no college or campus-wide events sponsored by offices and departments. Click here to review the holidays and the policy.

Check-Out Event Supplies & Games

Campus Activities is excited to offer expanded services at the HUB Desk. In addition to lawn games, students can now check out board games, card games, chafing dishes and sternos, and much more! Check out what is available via EngageD page.
