Dickinson students have the opportunity to apply for a grant to assist in completing an unpaid or low-paid summer internship. This is a competitive process; not all applications will be awarded a grant.  If awarded a grant, it may not be in the full amount requested.  Preferential consideration is given to first-time applicants completing unpaid/low-paid experiences.

Early Deadline: Thursday, March 22, 4pm EST
Final Deadline: Thursday, April 19, 4pm EST

Supporting an internship in human rights, environmental protection, and human services in German speaking countries. Preference is given to students with financial need.

Established in 2006, this fund is intended to assist a student who is interested in performing an internship in the field of human rights, environmental protection, intercultural understanding, world peace, or human services in German-speaking countries for an experience of at least eight weeks. Once students have obtained an internship, they may apply for a grant.

Each summer, students can submit an application requesting up to $2,000. Preference will be given to students with financial need. Sufficient proficiency in German must be established through the German Department to be eligible for the internship and the grant. For assistance in obtaining internships in German speaking countries, students should contact the German Department.

The MPH Grant has a different application process and deadline from the Dickinson Internship Grant.  Please contact the Director of Internship Programs to request the application.
