Transfer Applicants from Sweet Briar College

This page has been designed to speak to the particular concerns of students seeking transfer to Dickinson from Sweet Briar College. We welcome your interest in Dickinson and stand ready to answer your questions and support you in this process. Your main point of contact throughout the process will be Michael Montgomery, Coordinator of Transfer Admissions.

Applying to Dickinson

Dickinson welcomes applications from Sweet Briar students and is extending the deadline for fall 2015 admission to April 15, 2015 to allow these applicants additional time to prepare their materials. Application fees will be waived for all Sweet Briar applicants as well.

Interviews

It may be possible to arrange an off-campus interview with a member of the Dickinson Admissions Volunteer Society (DAVS). It may also be possible to arrange a conversation by phone or Skype. Please let us know as soon as possible of your interest in an interview.

Degree Requirements and Credit Transfer

It is important to note that Dickinson's degree requirements call for at least 16 courses to be completed on our home campus. This means that only students who are completing their first or second years at Sweet Briar will be eligible for admission to Dickinson. Questions regarding credit transfer, informal credit evaluations, application requirements, and other issues can be directed to Michael Montgomery, Coordinator of Transfer Admissions.

Financial Aid

If you are interested in applying for need-based financial aid, please note that you must complete both the FAFSA (for access to federal aid) and CSS Profile (for access to Dickinson's institutional aid). Transfer applicants are not eligible for merit-based scholarships.
